9th Annual Statewide Nursing Essay Contest
The Nevada Hospital Association is holding its 9th Annual Statewide Nursing Essay Contest. The theme this year is "Nursing: Embracing the Challenge". Entrants can submit essays by answering questions in each of the following three categories: Professional Development Category, Attraction Category, and Commitment/Retention Category. All contest essays should be between 500 and 800 words and be submitted to NHA by March 31, 2010 (click here for more information).
What Does Diversity Mean?
- Literally means “variety” and “differences”;
- Hospitals have increasingly diverse patient, physician and staff populations;
- Hospitals are challenged by the diverse cultural and language (C&L) barriers, now being addressed in new TJC standards.
